Problem

Kickstarter backers receive project recommendations based on what they’ve already backed, but there is a vast catalog of creative ideas to bring to life. How can we enable our community to directly influence and refine their own recommendations?

Solution

The nucleus of this project is a survey disguised as a quiz wearing the best Halloween costume at the party—we wanted it to be fun, human, enticing, and clear. The completion rate soared above 90% after light iterations. The scope included toast notifications, weekly email automations, and a thumbs up/down rating UI that backers could engage for any project.
